Micah Nolan ’27
Hometown: Champion, OH
Accounting & Financial Management Major

For junior Micah Nolan, choosing Hiram College felt like the right fit for many reasons: it was close to home, offered the chance to continue playing baseball, and had the welcoming, small-class environment he was looking for. “My sister also goes here,” Micah shared, noting that Hiram quickly became a family connection as well as his college choice.
A financial accounting major from Champion, Ohio, Micah has enjoyed opportunities both in and out of the classroom. His favorite class so far has been Entrepreneurship, which he described as “fun and interactive.” On campus, you’ll most often find him with his teammates—whether they’re competing on the field or hanging out together in their suite lounge.
Building community

Baseball is both Micah’s passion and community at Hiram, shaping much of his college experience. One of his favorite memories so far is spring break with his team, a time that brought both competition and camaraderie.
When asked how he has grown during his time at Hiram, Micah reflected on his personal and academic journey. “I’ve made more friends and opened my shell,” he said, adding that he’s also discovered he’s capable of achieving strong grades.
Looking ahead, Micah hopes to pursue a career as a firefighter/paramedic, with his degree from Hiram helping him prepare for that future. For now, he’s focused on making the most of his time on campus—balancing academics, athletics, and friendships.
If he had to sum up his Hiram experience in just three words?
Fun. Friendly. Exciting.
