Student Accounts Fees and Information

The Office of Student Accounts is responsible for:

  • Producing tuition billing statements for students.
  • Coordinating with the Office of Financial Aid to apply financial aid for students.
  • Handling billing and collection from third-party providers.
  • Accepting and processing student tuition and fee payment, departmental deposits, and petty cash payments.
  • Collecting delinquent accounts.
Payment Types

We accept cash and check payments. Please note that we cannot take payments over the phone. You may mail a check to P.O. Box 1808, Hiram, Ohio 44234.

We also use MeadowPay as a payment option for those enrolled in the payment plan. Meadow offers Apple Pay and Google Pay. For questions and help, visit MeadowPay support.

All student account questions are handled at the Student Accounts window, located in Teachout-Price Hall.

Payment Plans

To sign up for a payment plan, students will do through Meadow, our payment plan provider.

Students are expected to have their student accounts in a paid status prior to moving into a residence hall or attending the first class of a semester. To have a student account in a “paid status,” students must either be paid in full for the semester or officially signed up for an approved payment plan with our office.

Fall Semester

Enrollment for the payment plan opens July 10. The first bill is due July 15. Number of payments and payment amounts will be communicated through Meadow.

Spring Semester

Enrollment information for spring semester payment plans will be communicated by Meadow through email and text. Please check your email close to the start of the spring semester.

Fall bills are due August 15, 2026. Spring bill due date will be posted closer to the spring semester. Students and families are expected to familiarize themselves with the payment due dates.

For all fees and fines, please refer to our Fees and Fines page.

Hiram College staff will assume that students who are not in a paid status will not be attending Hiram College; therefore it is very important that students work closely with the staff in the Office of Student Accounts to inform them of their plans and make payment arrangements.  After an internal review period, students who are registered for classes and have signed up for a residence hall room whose student accounts are not in a paid status by the published semester payment deadlines will have their class schedules canceled and their residence hall assignments canceled for the term.

Deferment Plan

Hiram College has set up a special plan for students whose employers reimburse them for their tuition. Hiram will extend the privilege of deferring your bill until forty days after you receive your grades. You must complete the deferment form prior to the billing due date.

FINANCING OPTIONS

In addition to payment options, there are also a number of ways to finance your Hiram education.  We are here to help you determine what works for your family.  Please contact us at 330.569.5107 or review some of these options online on our Financial Aid website.

Student Accounts Frequently Asked Questions

Billing & Financial Aid

If your payment plan amount seems higher than expected, it may be because your financial aid has not yet been applied to your account. Once financial aid is processed and posted, your balance and payment plan amount may decrease. If you have questions regarding your financial aid, please contact the Financial Aid Office.

Yes. Student account balances are updated as information is received and processed. You may enroll in a payment plan at any time. The plan amount will automatically adjust based on the current balance reflected on the student account.

Private loans must be approved by the lender and certified by the College before they can be applied to your account. If you have any questions regarding a private loan which you have applied for, please contact the Financial Aid Office.

Payment Plans

Yes. Hiram College offers payment plans that allow students and families to spread educational expenses over monthly installments rather than paying the balance in a single payment.

Yes. Payment plan amounts are based on the current balance of your student account. If charges or credits are added after enrollment, the payment plan will be adjusted accordingly.

No. If your balance changes and the scheduled payment amount must be adjusted, authorization is required before the new amount can be withdrawn. Any increase in the payment amount must be approved by you before processing.

Meal Plans

Residential students are required to participate in the College’s meal plan program. For the 2026–2027 academic year, the required meal plan for most residential students is the Unlimited Swipes Meal Plan with Terrier Cash. See all meal plan options here.

All residential students are required to have a designated residential meal plan. The primary exception is students living in the Townhouses, who have a specific Townhouse option. Students with questions about meal plan requirements should contact Student Accounts or Residence Life.

Meal plan charges are assessed based on housing status and enrollment requirements. If you are living on campus, the required meal plan charge will be automatically added to your student account.

Loans & Payments

Students are responsible for monitoring their account balance and planning for any outstanding amount. If you are waiting for a private loan to be processed, please contact Student Accounts to discuss your options and obtain the most current balance information.

Students can view their current account balance through the student portal. Because balances update as charges, payments, financial aid, and loans are processed, students should review their account regularly.

If you have questions about your bill, payment plan, refunds, or meal plan charges, please contact the Student Accounts Office. We are happy to assist you and help you understand your account. If you have questions about financial aid, please contact the Financial Aid Office and they will be happy to assist you.
