Since its founding in 1900, the Hiram College Library has continually evolved to meet the changing research needs of Hiram’s students, its faculty, and the surrounding community.

Over the years, the library has grown from a disjointed book collection scattered around campus to a centralized resource hub with group study rooms, a variety of individual study spaces, growing collections in both print and digital formats, and computer and wireless access.

The library’s recent first-floor renovation continues this evolution by welcoming in a new Learning and Technology Collaborative aimed at bringing together members of the College and its community to interact, engage in peer-to-peer tutoring, learn about new apps, and schedule walk-in appointments with professional advisors or career specialists. The Collaborative now centrally locates the offices of several high-impact programs, housing Hiram’s Tech and Trek initiative as well as Hiram Connect and the Career Center.

Features Include:

  • New Tech & Trek Help Desk
  • Dedicated collaboration space and meeting room
  • Study and collaboration lounge overlooking Hayden Street
  • 2 ADA-accessible public computer stations
  • 4 single-user, gender-neutral, ADA-accessible restrooms
  • The Clock Tower Café

Professional librarians are on staff to help everyone from new students just learning to use the library to seasoned researchers seeking out hard-to-find resources from around the world.
