Hometown: Westlake, OH
Elementary Education Major
I have grown a lot in my first year at Hiram. I am now a lot better with time management skills, and being able to make time to have fun, but also get my work done on time

Aidan first transferred to Hiram under unique circumstances from Notre Dame College upon its closure. Despite the circumstances, from day one, Aidan has been a lively member of campus, quickly calling the Hill home.
Aidan found her new community at Hiram as a member of the Cheer and STUNT team, Black Student Union, CRUSH, and the Terrier Activities Board. Aidan is also a part of the Thrive Learning Center, one of the many unique aspects of Hiram that drew her here.
She plans to become a special education teacher upon graduating from Hiram. “I’m very passionate about helping kids with disabilities both inside and outside of school. I have a big, special place in my heart for kids,” Aidan said.

Along with the services and support she has received from the Thrive Center; Aidan has found Hiram to be a unique support system for her and her needs. “There are so many different resources available to students on campus,” she said.
One resource in particular where Aidan loves to hangout and study with friends is the Sensory Room in the Library. The Sensory Room is a space designed to accommodate current and future students and meet the neurodiverse needs they may have.
Thanks to the support she has received from the resources at Hiram and the community at Hiram, Aidan has grown to become more confident in herself and her abilities as a student. “During my time at Hiram I’ve learned that I can do more academically than I thought I was capable of,” she said.
Students like Aidan are what drive Hiram’s mission of being a place where all students can become their best selves.
