Gelbke Fine Arts Center

About the Facility

A re-purposed factory with 26,000 square feet of studio, classroom, lab, and gallery space, the Gelbke Fine Arts Center offers an optimal learning environment, as well as opportunities for students, community members, staff, and faculty to exhibit their work.

As a part of the center, a 1,200 square foot gallery is designed for the display of all types of art work, from two dimensional paintings, drawings, and prints to multi-media projections and installations. The gallery hosts exhibitions by regional, national, and international artists.

Equipped with Apple projection and digital sharing technology, the 70 seat auditorium is often used for presentations and films, as well as the Annual Student Film Festival.

Students within the major receive spacious individual studios where they can develop their ideas and work without interruption.

Studios, digital labs, and individual work spaces remain open for student use 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
