Gelbke Fine Arts Center

The Gelbke Fine Arts Center offers an optimal learning environment, as well as opportunities for students and faculty to exhibit their artwork and to host a regular schedule of exhibitions by visiting artists.

About the Facilities

A repurposed factory with 26,000 square feet of studio, classroom, lab, and gallery space, the Gelbke Fine Arts Center offers an optimal learning environment, as well as opportunities for students and faculty to exhibit their work and to host exhibitions by regional, national, and international artists. A part of the center, a 1,200 square foot gallery is designed for the display of two and three dimensional art work, as well as sculptural installations and digital and multi-media projection. Equipped with Apple projection and digital sharing technology, a 70 seat auditorium is available for presentations and films. Students within the major receive spacious individual studios where they can develop their ideas and work without interruption. Studios, digital labs, and individual work spaces remain open for student use, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
