In a series of paintings based on her military service, Dawn Richardsexpresses her informed perspective on the ideals and realities of service to one’s country. Elle Rochford develops an anatomical analogy between the human body and landscape in her mixed media “maps.” The inside versus outside nature of our world is investigated in Lydia Snyder’s organic, interactive installation piece. A’Dreus Young deals with the world of dreams and nightmares using a visual process of chance and abstraction. Compositing photography to create fantastical worlds, Niesha Zeigler invites viewers to escape into surreal landscapes. All are invited to attend the Opening Reception, free to the public, to meet the artists and enjoy light hors d’oeuvres.
