Hiram College

Transfer Now

Each year Hiram College welcomes transfer students from accredited two- and four-year institutions for the fall, spring and summer semesters. Whether you’ve finished your associate’s degree and are looking to continue on with your bachelor’s degree, or trying to find the right college fit, we have a place for you.

Our transfer credit policy means students can bring previously completed credits with them to shorten their path to a Hiram College degree. The faster you finish, the faster you can reap the rewards of a distinctive degree.

Transfer students have three flexible options to earn a Hiram College degree:

Traditional College
Enroll as a traditional undergraduate student and continue your education in your chosen field of study. Hiram offers 29 majors and 36 minors for traditional undergraduates, as well as pre-professional degree programs for students bound for specific career paths or law school. Transfer students are also eligible for generous scholarships. Whether you’re living on campus or commuting, there’s a Hiram degree program that’s right for you.

Weekend College
Transfer into the Weekend College, and take advantage of our unique and flexible semester format. As part of the program, you’ll attend classes every other weekend on the Hiram campus, or in an online or blended format. The Weekend College is ideal for students with work or family commitments who need a flexible schedule.

Community College Partnerships
Hiram College currently partners with Cuyahoga Community College Eastern Campus, Lorain County Community College and Lakeland Community College, to allow students to earn a Hiram bachelor’s degree entirely at a partnership location. The course schedule follows the every-other-weekend format of the Weekend College, and also offers online and blended course formats. Available degree programs include accounting and financial management, business management, marketing, entrepreneurship and integrated environmental studies.

Scholarships and Phi Theta Kappa
Hiram awards scholarships to transfer students on the basis of academic excellence at the collegiate level.

  • Eligible students may receive transfer merit scholarships, renewable for up to three years.
  • Members of Phi Theta Kappa may receive a special scholarship in honor of this distinction.
  • Transfer students are also eligible for many of Hiram’s need-based awards.

Financial Aid
All new students are considered for need-based financial aid on an equal basis. Transfer students should submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and include Hiram’s code (003049) so the information is sent directly to the College.
