The Department of Management, Marketing and Economics in the Scarborough School of Business hosted a panel style event titled “World Café: Diversity in Leadership”. The event was coordinated by honors student Grace Basham, first-year accounting and financial management major, with the support of Morgan Clevenger, ED.D., MBA, associate professor of management.
Attendees at the event participated in three panel discussions that included faculty, staff, students and alumni who addressed topics of diversity in leadership. Topics ranged from neurodivergence in leadership, international diversity, religious diversity to intersectionality in the workplace. Students, alumni and Hiram staff and faculty were able to share their experiences and insights on these topics to foster conversations among the group. A reception was hosted after for the community to continue conversations on diversity together over an international array of foods.
