FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Students: Get your permit through The Permit Store.

Faculty/Staff: Get your pass in the Campus Safety Office.

You can remove your permit from your current vehicle and affix it to your alternate vehicle. Please remember to update your vehicle information through your The Permit Store account whenever you switch vehicles. However, if you intend to have two vehicles on campus at the same time, you will need to purchase a second permit.

For residential students, passes are $65.95. For commuter/PGS/CCP students, it is $15.95. The Permit Store accepts major credit cards.

In the event you are borrowing a vehicle or purchase one near the end of the year, temporary passes are available for $3 and can be purchased a maximum of four times per year. Temporary passes can be purchased in the Office of Campus Safety located on the second floor of the Kennedy Center.

Payment of Village issued tickets can be done through a drop box in the Kennedy Center entrance, or at the Hiram Police Department. Please note that there is an increase in the Village parking ticket fee for tickets unpaid after 24 hours.

Tickets can be appealed and paid for through The Permit Store or in the Office of Campus Safety. Tickets must be paid and/or appealed within 14 calendar days; failure to do so will result in the inability to appeal and a $25 additional fine. Fore more information, see the Parking Tickets page.

For information on where to park, please refer to the campus parking map. If you are not staying the night, you may park along the road until 2 a.m. (Village Ordinance: no parking on streets 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Friday). If you are staying the night, see the next question. A guest pass is not needed unless you are on campus after 10 p.m.

You must obtain a guest parking pass. Passes are $3 per day and can be purchased from the Office of Campus Safety. For additional information, see the Overnight Guest section on the Parking page.
