Welcome future Terriers!

Once you’ve decided to become a Terrier and submitted your enrollment deposit, it’s almost time to register for Orientation! All new students are required to register for and complete an in-person or virtual Orientation.

To allow us to best serve you in transition from the admission process to Orientation, please complete the following steps in the order listed below to join the incoming class of Terriers.

Your commitment to Hiram requires a $100 deposit for commuter students and a $200 deposit for residential students. You may pay your deposit by selecting this link. Transfer students from Notre Dame College should reference the specific Notre Dame page for their deposit process.

Within two to three business days of processing your deposit, you will receive an account creation email from helpdesk@hiram.edu. This email (sent to the email on your application) will contain your Hiram username, temporary password, and student ID number. Follow the instructions in this email to activate your account. If you don’t see this email, please check your junk or spam folder before reaching out to the IT Helpdesk at 330.569.5313. The HelpDesk is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Orientation is only available to deposited students. Click one of the options below this menu to register for one of the remaining Orientation dates. An email confirmation will accompany your registration. Should you not be available to join us on campus, a virtual option may be requested by emailing orientation@hiram.edu.

Within two to three business days of registering for Orientation, you will be added to your respective Orientation course on Moodle, our online learning platform. To access Moodle, visit www.online.hiram.edu. You can log in with your Hiram username and password. Pre-Orientation coursework is due two weeks prior to each Orientation date, while virtual and online Orientation coursework is due no later than August 1 for students starting in the fall, and January 1 for students starting in the spring.

We look forward to seeing you on Orientation day. Please prepare to be on campus from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the day of Orientation. This event is open to new students and their supporters. To learn more, visit our Frequently Asked Questions.

For students completing virtual or online Orientation, be sure to adhere to deadlines noted above. Otherwise, we plan to see you during First Days, or as classes begin.

Be sure to check both your Hiram and personal email often for important updates from the College.  For additional support, contact us at 330.569.5321 or orientation@hiram.edu
