World Performing Arts Opportunities
Nearly every culture in the world communicates through music and storytelling. At Hiram College, we embrace that which makes the performing arts unique around the world.
World Performing Arts Courses
A few past courses that have explored diverse cultures through the lens of performing arts include:
- World Music
- Dancing Sambas, Singing Narcocorridos, and Experiencing Mariachisimo
- Shakespeare in Performance
- Legend and Lore of the Kilt
- African Ensemble
- Irish Music and Celtic Myth
INTERCULTURAL FORUM SHOW
Hosted by the Intercultural Forum Club, the IF show includes dance, music, ASL performance, traditional cuisine, and a fashion show. The aspects of the show proudly present the unique cultures of Hiram College’s students.
STUDY ABROAD OPPORTUNITIES
Every few years, a Performing Arts-focused Study Away experience is available. The U.K. 3-week trip has often been that trip. There, students study Shakespeare’s life, the passions of another nation, and the experiences of Renaissance artists.
