The Hiram College women’s swimming & diving team fell to Wooster but defeated Olivet (Mich.) in a tri-meet on Saturday.

The Terriers (2-4) beat Olivet 114-86, but fell to Wooster (4-1) 155-54.

The 200-yard freestule relay team of junior Marian Bade (Macungie, Pa./The Periomen School), junior Megan McBratnie (Berkley, Mich.), junior Rachel Patten (Castalia/Margaretta) and sophomore Emily Kelly (North Royalton) finished first in 1:58.51.

Patten also recorded a third place finish in the 500-yard freestyle in 5:55.82.

Freshman Jenni Heid (Stow/Stow-Munroe Falls) captured the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:15.81.

In the 1-meter diving, senior Samantha Polmanteer (Berkley, Mich.) finished second with a score of 131.10 and senior Emily Anderson (Morgantown, W. Va./University) was third with 115.90 points.

Senior Carly Daniels (Mesa, Ariz./Dobson) was fourth in the 50-yard freestyle in 27.28 and finished fifth in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:11.09.

Hiram will return to action on Friday, when it hosts Franciscan at 6 p.m.
