The Hiram College women’s swimming & diving team concluded the 2014-15 season with a ninth place finish at the NCAC Swimming & Diving Championships.

The Terriers finished with 295 points in the nine team event.

Denison repeated as champions for the seventh straight season with 1930 points, Kenyon was second with 1740 points and DePauw (Ind.) was third with 1176 points.

Senior Kailey Saywell (Kirtland) finished in 24th in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:47.79 and sophomore Meredith Fitschen-Brown (East Lansing, Mich.) was 26th in the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:57.56.

In the 200-yard butterfly, senior Rebecca Wright (New Carlisle/Northwestern Local) and seniorEmily Anderson (Morgantown, W. Va./University) finished 24th and 25 in 2:34.41 and 2:50.47, respectively.

In the 1650-yard freestyle, junior Rachel Patten (Castalia/Margaretta) was 20th in 18:48.46 and juniorĀ Marian Bade (Macungie, Pa./The Perkiomen School) touched in 19:38.20, which placed her 28th.

The 400-yard freestyle relay team of sophomore Emily Kelly (North Royalton), Bade, Patten and Wright finished ninth in 4:01.36.
