Hiram College

Sophomore Allie Glatt (Cincinnati/Seton) scored her team leading seventh goal of the season and junior goalie Kailie Reed (Wadsworth) recorded her third shutout as the Hiram College women’s soccer team picked up a 1-0 road victory at Marietta on Monday.

The Terriers push their record to 4-3-1 on the season, while the Pioneers drop to 0-8-1.

Glatt’s goal came at the 68:39 mark in the second half. She split a couple of defenders and fired a shot from the top of the box that found the back of the net.

Her seven goals on the year move her into a tie for seventh place for the most goals scored in a single season in program history.

Reed made four stops in goal for her third clean slate on the year.

Marietta outshot Hiram 9-5 in the contest, but the Terriers held a 5-4 edge in shots on goal.

The Pioneers took five corner kicks, compared to two for Hiram.

The Terriers will return to action on Thursday, when it hosts Bethany (W. Va.) at Henry Field at 7:30 p.m.
