The Hiram College women’s soccer team fell at Wooster by a 2-0 score on Tuesday afternoon.
The Terriers drop to 5-8-1 on the season and 0-3-1 in the NCAC. The Fighting Scots push their record to 8-5-1, 2-1-1.
Wooster would jump on the board in the 27th minute, on a goal off of a free kick by Lauren Hancher.
The Fighting Scots would benefit from an own goal at the 74:48 mark to put the game away.
Hiram was led by sophomore Allie Glatt (Cincinnati/Seton) who took three shots, with one being on goal and sophomore Abbey Rowe (Mt. Orab/Lynchburg-Clay), who fired two shots, both of which were on goal.
Junior goalkeeper Kailie Reed (Wadsworth) made six stops in the game.
Wooster held a 15-8 edge in shots, including an 8-5 advantage in shots on goal. The Fighting Scots also had a 8-5 edge in corner kicks.
Hiram will return to action on Saturday, when it hits the road to take on Wittenberg at 5 p.m.
