BEREA, OHIO — The Hiram College women’s soccer team was defeated by Baldwin-Wallace College, 1-0, Tuesday night (Sept. 13) in a non-conference game at the George Finnie Stadium in Berea. [Game Stats]
With the loss, the Terriers are now 2-2 overall for the season. The Yellow Jackets improve to 3-2 overall.
The game’s only goal came at the 14:18 minute mark of the first half when B-W’s Heather Keller found the net to put the Yellow Jackets up 1-0 after one period of play.
Hiram tallied one shot in the second half, but could not score the equalizer as B-W went on to post a 1-0 shutout victory.
Freshman goalkeeper Lisa Silvestro (London, Ont./St. Thomas Aquinas) played all 90 minutes, but suffered the loss and is now 1-1 overall on the year. She allowed just the lone goal and made eight saves.
Hiram is scheduled to host Penn State-Beaver (Pa.) on Thursday (Sept. 15) in a non-conference matchup at the Hiram Soccer Complex. The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
