AURORA, OHIO — The Hiram College women’s golf team won the five-team Hiram Invitational today (Sunday, Sept. 26) at the Aurora Country Club in Aurora. Senior Kritsinee Khowcharoen (Muang, Phitsanulok, Thailand/Fryeburg Academy, Maine) won medalist honors for the third time this season. [FINAL Results]
Hiram carded a team total of 396 strokes for the one-day event to take top team honors. Denison University was second at 430 strokes, followed by Lourdes College in third with 449 strokes.
Individually, the Terriers were led by Khowcharoen who carded an 83 (44+39=83) on the par-73, 5,720-yard course layout to take top individual honors. Freshman Carrie Dyer (Canton/Canton McKinley) was second with 98 strokes (50+48=98) and was followed by senior Sasha Davidson (East Hampton, Conn./East Hampton) in third with 107 strokes (54+53=107). Rounding out the Hiram competitors was junior Amelia Mount (Strongsville/Parma-Padua) with 108 strokes (57+51=108).
Hiram will conclude its fall schedule next Friday-Saturday, Oct. 1-2 at the Heidelberg University Invitational. The two-day tournament will be played at Mohawk Golf and Country Club in Tiffin.
