WOOSTER, OHIO  —  The Hiram College women’s golf team began the 2011-12 season today (Saturday, Sept. 17) at The College of Wooster Invitational at the Wooster Country Club in Wooster.  [Complete Results]

The Terriers competed as individuals and did not qualify in the team scoring.  The University of Mount Union won the 18-hole event with a team-total of 352 strokes.  Baldwin-Wallace College was second with 356 strokes and John Carroll University rounded out the top three with 381 strokes.

Individually, senior Kritsinee Khowcharoen (Muang, Phitsanulok, Thailand/Fryeburg Academy, Maine) led the Terriers with an 18-hole round of 89 strokes and finished in a tie for fifth overall.  Becky Fleischmann was second with 110 strokes and Renee Bellis rounded out the Hiram competitors with 168 strokes.

Hiram will travel to Granville for the one-day Denison University Invitational tomorrow (Sunday, Sept. 18) at the Granville Country Club.
