CHESTERLAND, OHIO  —  The Hiram College women’s golf team finished fourth of six after the final round of the North Coast Athletic Conference Championships today (Sunday, May 1) at Fowler’s Mill Golf Course in Chesterland.  The Terriers will finish fifth in the overall NCAC Championship series after combining this week’s results with last week’s NCAC Tournament standings at Wooster.  [FINAL Results]

The Terriers finished the final day with a team total of 412 strokes and ended with a two-day total of 858 strokes (446+412=858) to place fourth of six teams.  Allegheny (Pa.) College won the event with 648 total strokes (323+325=648) and will also be the top team in the final conference championship series standings.  Wittenberg University was second with 696 strokes (347+349=696) and also finished second in the championship series.  The College of Wooster rounded out the top three schools at 819 strokes (407+412=819) and was also third in the championship standings.

Hiram was led by junior Kritsinee Khowcharoen (Muang, Phitsanulok, Thailand/Fryeburg Academy, Maine) who carded a 79 on the final day to end the tournament with a total of 166 strokes (87+79=166) and placed fourth overall individually.  Senior Sasha Davidson (East Hampton, Conn./East Hampton) was second on the team at 221 strokes (109+112=221) and junior Amelia Mount (Strongsville/Padua) finished third at 228 strokes (121+107=228).  Rounding out the Hiram competitors was freshman Carrie Dyer (Canton/Canton McKinley) who finished with a total of 243 strokes (129+114=243).

The Terriers end their 2010-11 season today with the completion of the NCAC Championships.
