When Hiram College students return for the start of the Spring 2015 semester on Jan. 12, 2015, they will be welcomed back with a full week of wintery programming.
These wintery activities make up the second annual Welcome Back Week, sponsored by the Office of Campus Involvement. The following programming for Hiram College students will take place Jan. 12-17, 2015.
Monday, Jan. 12: Welcome Back Drink Station
The Office of Campus Involvement will be handing out hot cocoa, coffee and muffins from 9 a.m. to noon under the Hinsdale Arch. Stop by before or after your first classes of the new semester
Tuesday, Jan. 13: Ice Skating Rink
No need to leave campus for ice skating – we’re bringing a rink here! From 7-11 p.m., enjoy ice skating under the Gerstacker Arch. Skate rentals are free.
Wednesday, Jan. 14: Potluck with Students, Faculty and Staff
Tonight, dinner is on us! Faculty and staff will bring dishes to share with students at 7 p.m. in Dix Dining Hall. Enjoy this opportunity to catch up and mingle.
Thursday, Jan. 15: Byron Bowers, Comedian
At 8 p.m. in the Kennedy Center Ballroom, comedian Byron Bowers will present a comedy show, sponsored by Terrier Activities Board.
Friday, Jan. 16: Traying and S’mores
Traying is a favorite Hiram tradition! Join us for sledding, s’mores and hot cocoa at 9 p.m. on the Martin Field House hill. This event is presented by Terrier Actions for Smart Choices (TASC Force).
Saturday, Jan. 17: Snowboarding and Skiing Trip
End the first week of the new semester by joining us for a skiing and snowboarding excursion to Bradywine Ski Resort. The trip, transportation and rentals are free for Hiram College students, but they must sign up at the Welcome Desk of the Kennedy Center. A van will depart from Hiram at 7 p.m.
