Working since October 13, Willi Rivenburg is currently serving a 10 month stint with an AmeriCorps program called the National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC). Rivenburg has been residing in Alabama, where he is building a house for a Habitat for Humanity project. Rivenburg’s AmeriCorps training included teamwork, leadership development, communication, service learning and certification by the American Red Cross. A biology major at Hiram, Rivenburg’s goal is to eventually go to veterinary school, so the $5,550 stipend from the NCCC will come in handy for continuing his education.
