Currently, the College uses standard banners to represent each class at Opening Convocation. By 2018, all classes at Hiram will have a personalized banner, designed by a student or group of students from their class. The student-designed banners will be on display at the Dining Hall throughout the year, and potentially at other campus events.
The contest for the Class of 2015 opened Oct. 28, and closes Dec. 20, 2011. After voting by faculty, staff and students, the winner will be revealed April 2, 2012. The individual or group whose design is selected will receive a prize basket.
Guidelines are the following:
- Select a solid background color
- Choose font(s)
- The words “Class of 2015” must appear and be legible from a distance
- The words “Hiram College” will automatically be added
- See diagram (right) for dimensions and design areas
Submissions should be sent to Campus Involvement Director Demetria Anderson electronically to email@example.com or to the Office of Campus Involvement in the Kennedy Center. For electronic submissions, the subject line should read “Class of 2015 Banner Entry – LAST NAME/GROUP NAME.”
