Two members of last season’s Hiram College women’s lacrosse team were recognized by the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) by being selected to the Division III Academic Honor Roll for their work in the classroom. Graduated senior Lacey Zerner and current senior Michelle Bezek (Parma/Padua Franciscan) were the two Terrier players recognized.
The IWLCA honored 382 student-athletes from 67 different institutions with inclusion in the 2013 Academic Honor Roll. All student-athletes were nominated by their schools and have achieved at least junior status academically. Among the 383 student-athletes were 60 who were members of teams that advanced to the NCAA tournament.
Hiram was also recognized as a team and was named to the IWLCA Division III Academic Squad. IWLCA recognized 86 schools for the 2013 season. Every school with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher earned Academic Squad honors.
