Hiram College is home to students from nearly 30 different countries, and students will celebrate this cultural diversity during International Education Week, Nov. 4-9, 2013.
The student organization Intercultural Forum has planned a week of activities to raise awareness about and celebrate international students and cultures and Hiram College.
Monday, Nov. 4: Jeopardy
Play international-themed Jeopardy in the Kennedy Center from 7:30-9:30 p.m.
Tuesday, Nov. 5: Language Table
Learn how to write your name in another alphabet in the Dining Hall from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Wednesday, Nov. 6: Global Nails
Get a “global manicure” from 8-11 p.m. in the upstairs of the Kennedy Center. Students will be painting nails with different countries’ flags – a great way to show your cultural pride.
Thursday, Nov. 7: Map Quest
Join the Intercultural Forum for Map Quest, a scavenger hunt game that will educate students on facts about different countries, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Dining Hall.
Friday, Nov. 8: FIFA Tournament
Students can join in a video Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) video game tournament, from 8-10 p.m. in the Kennedy Center basement.
Saturday, Nov. 9: Arabian Nights Party
Celebrate with Intercultural Forum from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. in the upstairs of the Kennedy Center.
