The ceremony is held annually to honor the sophomore BSN students, who are beginning their clinical experience in healthcare agencies and are seen in their student uniforms for the first time.
Guest speaker Rebecca (Becky) Patton, RN, MSN, immediate past president of the American Nurses Association, spoke on the topic of “Reflections on the Privilege of Being a Nurse.” Rev. Dr. Matthew McClung provided prayers for the event, and freshman student Heather Ristau served as pianist. Each of the twenty-nine students was individually recognized.
Families, students, and faculty concluded the celebration with a cake and punch reception. More photos are available on Flickr.
