Hiram College will host The Sidemen at a free concert in the Frohring Recital Hall on Thursday, April 19 at 7 p.m.
The Sidemen trio — Anthony Papaleo, Kevin Johnson, and Anthony Taddeo — have performed around the world and occasionally throughout Northeast Ohio. They have played alongside well-known Ohio artists such as Mo’ Mojo, Duchess, Bill Lestock, and Jen Maurer Project.
“They are very diverse with blues, roots music, early rock ‘n’ roll, original songs, and instrumentals,” says Tina Dreisbach, Ph.D, associate professor of music at Hiram. Professor Dreisbach adds that she expects the concert to set the stage for “a great evening.”
The Sidemen’s current trio project gives each of the musicians opportunities to create their own music through various concepts that range from traditional roots music to early rock ‘n’ roll and more, notes Dr. Dreisbach.
This event is sponsored by Hiram Community Trust and the Hiram College Music Department.
