HIRAM, OHIO — Hiram College senior swimmer Travis Subda (Spring, Texas/Klein Collins) has been named this week’s North Coast Athletic Conference Swimmer of the Week. [NCAC Swimming Release]
Subda captured a total of four individual event victories in three meets this past week, including winning both the 200-meter freestyle (2:15.97) and the 100-meter free (55.39 seconds) in a convincing win against Malone University this past Friday (Jan. 14). In addition, Subda won the 100-meter free against The College of Wooster in the first dual meet of the week on Tuesday (Jan. 11) with a time of 55.39 seconds. He was also the lone event winner for the men against Wittenberg University this past Saturday (Jan. 15) with a winning time of 2:20.54 in the 200-yard breaststroke.
The Hiram swim teams will compete in a tri-meet against Baldwin-Wallace College and NCAC opponent Allegheny (Pa.) College on Friday, Jan. 21 in Berea. The first event is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. The Terriers will then travel to University Heights on Saturday (Jan. 22) for a non-conference dual meet against John Carroll University. That meet is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
