Professor of Art History Lisa B. Safford has been selected to participate in the 2010 Fulbright-Hays Seminars Abroad: History and Culture in China. She will visit four cities in China in July, including Beijing, Xian and Shanghai. The National Committee on United States-China Relations coordinates the travel and educational features of the trip.
Safford says, “This is my third participation in a Fulbright-Hays Seminars Abroad. The first two were in Japan in 1997 and India and 2003. Those programs resulted in the development of courses in the Art of India and Japanese Art that are offered on a regular basis at the college as well as several published articles and book reviews in Asian art.”
