The Class of 1964, celebrating their 50th reunion, broke two records at Alumni Weekend 2014: total number of alumni returning for a 50th reunion and the largest class gift ever made to Hiram College.
Alumni Weekend 2014 was one for the record books. More than 900 people returned to Hiram Hill to celebrate and reunite, June 13-15, 2014, setting a new record.
But that wasn’t the only record broken. The Class of 1964, who five years ago began planning their 50-year reunion, broke the record for total number of attendees at a 50-year reunion and presented the largest class gift ever made to the College: $5 million in lifetime giving.
At the All-Alumni Reception on June 14, several members of the Class of 1964 (pictured below, bottom right) received the President’s Award for their extraordinary commitment to Hiram College:
- Marty Clague
- Ron Kilpatrick
- Rosie Kilpatrick
- Nick Lederer
- Fred Martin
- Tom Reuschling
- Bruce Taylor
- Phil Warburton
- Karen Wierwille Martin
The following alumni were also recognized with alumni awards:

- Alumni Achievement Award: Douglas Grimm ’84 (top right)
- Lifelong Leadership Award: Patricia (Hutchins) Murphy ’74 (top left)
