The success of the Hiram accounting program is evident by the outstanding accomplishments of their seniors and recent graduates.
Seniors Radina Petkova ’11 and Alicia Choo ’11 recently accepted positions with Avery Dennison, a major global manufacturer and distributor of pressure sensitive adhesive materials. These students obtained their positions through the company’s Financial Leadership Development Program (FLDP). Jeff Baker, Avery Dennison and the Director of the FLDP, came to Hiram as part of our annual “Meet the Accountants” career night. During that visit, Jeff selected Radina and Alicia to interview at Avery Dennison. Alicia and Radina were then selected to participate in a two day interview session at Avery corporate headquarters in Pasadena. Of the 16 attendees, only five were extended job offer in the FDLP.
Wenhao Li ’11 has received scholarship offers from The University of Notre Dame and Ohio State University, two of the top Masters of Accountancy programs in the United States. Wenhao found the offer from Notre Dame was especially attractive and he has decided to continue his academic career there.
Bristena Marinescu ’11 has accepted an Internal Audit position with Goldman Sachs in New York. The job offer was a direct result of an internship that she participated in during the summer as a “Financial Analyst”.
Graduate Udai Pathania ’10 received a scholarship offer from The University of Notre Dame and recently accepted an offer from Price Waterhouse & Co (PWC) as a staff auditor. Both KPMG and PWC are members of the “Big Four” international accounting firms.
Natasha Glodek ’10 received a scholarship offer from Boston College, another highly respected Accounting graduate school. Recently, Natasha accepted an offer in the Forensic Audit Division of KPMG, a global network of professional firms providing audit, tax and advisory services.
