Music faculty Dawn Sonntag, Rachel Pavloski and Randall Fusco will perform at various events in Cleveland, Chagrin Falls and Youngstown, during the months of November, December and February.

On November 12, Sonntag’s song cycle for soprano, oboe, cello and piano will be premiered at the Cleveland Marriott East, 26300 Harvard Road, Warrensville Heights, OH, at 12:45p.m. This composition is based on the poetry of Christina Georgina Rossetti, and is the result of the Ohio Music Teachers Association naming Sonntag Composer of the Year. The ensemble will consist of soprano Sonntag, oboist Margi Griebling Haigh, cellist Kent Collier and pianist Randall Fusco.

Also on November 12, soprano Rachel Pavloski will sing the role of Flora in Opera Western Reserve’s fully staged production of Bizet’s Carmen at Stambaugh Auditorium in Youngstown. On December 5, Randall Fusco will present a solo piano recital of French piano music for La Maison Française de Cleveland, at the Skating Club on Kemper Road in Cleveland. Fusco will repeat this program on December 13 at 2 p.m. for an Elderlife Forum at the Federated Church in Chagrin Falls.

On February 10, 2011, Sonntag and Fusco will present a piano duet recital at the 12 p.m. convocation hour in Frohring Recital Hall. They will perform the same program as part of the Sundays at Stambaugh Series on February 13, 2011. The concert will take place in the elegant Christman Hall at Stambaugh Auditorium.
