Sophomore midfielder Ryan Kramarz (Chesterland/West Geauga) scored the only goal of the first half, and what would turn out to be the game-winner, just before the end of the period at the 41:04 minute mark to give the Terriers a 1-0 edge at halftime.
In the second half, junior midfielder Manolo Angel (Mexico City, Mexico/Colegio Vista Hermosa) gave Hiram some breathing room with a goal during the 67th minute with an assist from Kramarz extending the margin to 2-0. Waynesburg failed to score in the final minutes as the Terriers went on to claim the 2-0 shutout.
Senior All-North Coast Athletic Conference goalkeeper Joe Rottinger (Strongsville) got the win and is now 3-0 on the year. He has also posted back-to-back shutout victories. In 90 minutes, he made two saves while not allowing a goal.
