HIRAM, OHIO — Hiram College men’s soccer player and junior midfielder Ryan Greenhill (Solon) has been named to the Capital One Academic All-District VII First-Team and will be eligible for the national Capital One All-America ballot.
Greenhill helped the Terriers post a 10-6-1 overall record and make a third appearance in the North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament in program history. Hiram qualified for the NCAC postseason in two of Greenhill’s three years with the program.
Greenhill earned Academic All-District honors for the second time in his career with a 3.95 grade point average as an accounting major. On the field, he led the team in assists with eight and tied for second in the conference. Greenhill also tallied three goals for a total of 14 points which was third most on the team. He was also part of a four-player tie for the team-lead in game-winning goals with two. As a team, the Terriers averaged three goals per game which ranked 15th in NCAA Division III.
Voting for the 2011 CAPITAL ONE Academic All-America team begins on Tuesday, Nov. 8.
