Freshman Kyle Carile (North Royalton) finished in a tie for 13th to lead the Hiram College men’s golf team to a sixth place finish at the sping opening Srimer Memorial Invitational.

Hiram finished the eight team tournament with a 334-336-670. NCAC foe Kenyon won the tourney with a 300-303-603.

Carile shot a 75-81-156, which was tops on the team. His first round 75 is a new career and season-best.

Freshman Austin Jenkins (North Royalton) finished in a tie for 25th with a 86-79-165 and juniorDanny Essel (Stow/Stow-Munroe Falls) was tied for 34th with a 86-85-171.

Kenyon’s Alex Blickle won Medalist honors with a 72-72-144.

The Terriers will be back in action on April 17 and April 18 at the Wooster Nye Invitational.
