The Hiram College men’s golf team finished sixth at the Nye Intercollegiate hosted by the College of Wooster.

The Terriers finished sixth in the nine team field, with a score of 318-325-643. Wittenberg won the team championship, posting a score of 298-297-595.

Freshman Austin Jenkins (North Royalton) fired a 77 on Saturday and followed it up with an 80 on Sunday to finish with a total score of 157 on the par-72, 6,545-yard course.

Freshman Kyle Carile (North Royalton) shot a 82-77-159, which placed him in a tie for 18th and junior Danny Essel (Euclid) fired a 82-81-163, which tied him for 31st.

DePauw’s Drake Dunaway won Medalist honors with a score of 72-73-145.

Hiram will be back at it on April 25 and 26, when it competes in the first part of the NCAC Championships at Apple Valley Golf Course.
