ALLIANCE, OHIO — Select members of the Hiram College men’s golf team completed the final day of competition at the University of Mount Union Fall Invitational today (Monday, Sept. 26) at the Alliance Golf Club in Alliance. [FINAL Results]
Hiram competed as individuals and did not qualify in the team standings. Point Park (Pa.) University won the overall event with a two-day team-total of 592 strokes (301+291=592). Otterbein University was second at 600 strokes (300+300=600) and host school Mount Union was third with 606 strokes (304+302=606).
Individually, Jon Hall and sophomore Ethan Tope (Dalton/Waynedale) were the only two Terriers to compete. Hall shot a final round of 82 strokes and finished the two-day event with a total of 169 strokes (87+82=169) on the par-72, 6,694-yard course layout. Tope finished the tournament with an overall score of 179 strokes (90+89=179).
