The Center for Engaged Ethics will host Anupama Joshi, Executive Director and Co-Founder of the National Farm to School Network, for the lecture “Hunger at Home,” at noon on Thursday, Feb. 7, in the Alumni Heritage Room of Teachout-Price.
This lecture was originally scheduled for Oct. 30, 2012, but was postponed due to Hurricane Sandy.
Joshi has spent years helping children understand the importance of “growing the good.” Originally from India, she comes to the U.S. after spending years living in Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Europe. Joshi started her career in nutrition and now leads the National Farm to School Network, an organization supporting the implementation of Farm to School programs across the country.
The lecture is presented in conjunction with the ethics theme “Food and Hunger.”
