Thirty-four contestants in this year’s Hiram ideablitz2012 competition will pitch their ideas in hopes of getting the chance to let them come to fruition, on Nov. 8.

The competition will take place from 5-8:30 p.m. in Dix Dining Hall of the Kennedy Center.

In the competition, students or teams of students will detail their business or product idea to a panel of judges who will assess it for its innovation and business potential. The top prize of $500 goes to the winner with $300 and $200 to the second and third place finishers respectively.

Kay Molkentin, director of the Center for Entrepreneurship, said  six students and seven teams of up to five students each will detail their entrepreneurial ideas in this year’s ideablitz.
