Hiram College alumni, faculty, staff, students and friends will have a chance to be part of Hiram history on Friday, April 29, 2016 as part of Hiram Giving Day.
During the 24-hour period – starting at 8 a.m. on April 29 and ending at 8 a.m. on April 30 – the Hiram College family will forge together with a goal of raising $100,000 for the Hiram Fund. All gifts made on Hiram Giving Day will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to a total of $50,000 thanks to a generous gift from alumni Dr. Joyce (Lewis) DeYoung and Larry DeYoung ’69. The DeYoungs are longtime supporters of the College. Both currently serve on the Hiram College Board of Visitors, which Joyce presides over as president.
Funds raised on Hiram Giving Day could cap a record-breaking year for fundraising at Hiram College. The current record is $8.2 million and the College is on its way to exceeding that amount for the 2015-2016 fiscal year, which ends in June.
About the Hiram Fund
Gifts to the Hiram Fund touch virtually every student, faculty and staff member in a very meaningful way. Year after year, the Hiram Fund delivers financial resources to support scholarships, campus preservation, classroom resources and a range of initiatives that might not otherwise be funded.
