Hiram College has partnered with the Ohio Department of Health and the Portage County Health District to make available at no charge a rapid, reliable home Abbott BinaxNOW COVID-19 antigen tests for local community members.

Tests can be self-administered outside of a healthcare setting with the virtual assistance of an eMed certified guide. The kits provide results in 15 minutes, an app with instructions on how to contact the online live testing instructor, and proof of results.

With a goal of increasing availability of testing in the local community, the College’s Julia Church Health Center is also partnering with local businesses and organizations such as the Hiram Fire Department, Hiram Police Department, Hiram Christian Church, ABM, and AVI to serve as a distribution point for test kits. Partnership opportunities are still available for local businesses and organizations capable of hosting a distribution point. Test distribution involves the collection of basic demographic data for each test handed out and a report of that information returned to the Julia Church Health Center weekly. For more information about establishing a partnership, please contact Nicole Coy at CoyN1@hiram.edu or 330.569.5418.

Partners and community members can pick up tests at the Julia Church Health Center located at 6780 Hinsdale Street, Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. – noon and 1 – 4 p.m.
