Junior Rachel Patten (Castalia/Margaretta) and freshman Jenni Heid(Stow/Stow-Munroe Falls) each won two events to lead the Hiram College women’s swimming & diving team past Franciscan 102-100 on Friday evening.
The Terriers push their record to 3-4 on the season, while the Barons fall to 0-3.
Patten touched first in the 400-meter freestyle and the 800-meter freestyle in 5:08.96 and 10:45.32, respectively.
Heid won the 100-meter breaststroke in 1:23.15 and the 200-meter freestyle in 2:30.14.
Sophomore Emily Kelly (North Royalton) won the 100-meter backstroke in 1:26.78 and was second in the 800-meter fresstyle in 11:16.16.
Senior Emily Anderson (Morgantown, W. Va.) captured the 1-meter diving with a score of 100.45.
Hiram will return to action on Saturday, when both the men and women compete at Wilmington at 1 p.m.
