Sophomore Allie Glatt (Cincinnati/Seton) scored her team leading ninth goal of the season, but the Hiram College women’s soccer team fell at Wittenberg 4-1 on Saturday.
The Terriers drop to 5-9-1 on the season and 0-4-1 in NCAC play, while the Tigers push their record to 6-5-1, 2-2-0.
Wittenberg struck for two first half goals and would add another nine minutes into the second half for a 3-0 lead.
Glatt got Hiram on the board with a unassisted goal at the 61:24 mark of the match.
Her nine goals move her into fourth place all-time in single season goals scored.
The Tigers would put the game away in the 75th minute on Erika Rich’s fifth goal of the season.
Junior goalkeeper Kailie Reed (Wadsworth) tied her season and career-high with 15 saves and drops to 5-9-1 on the season.
The Tigers held a 26-14 edge in shots and a 9-4 advantage in corner kicks.
Hiram will return to action on Wednesday, when it returns home to take on Allegheny (Pa.) at 7:30 p.m.
