Ginny Taylor, M.A.I.S. ’08, successfully defended her thesis in nonfiction to earn her Master of Fine Arts in creative writing from Ashland University, August, 2011.
Taylor, registrar at Hiram College, has a strong interest in creative writing, serves as a reader for the acclaimed literary journal “River Teeth” and is an advisory council member of Hiram’s Lindsay-Crane Center for Writing and Literature. Her piece, “Staying Close,” was recently published in the anthology “This I Believe: On Love.”
Taylor says her M.F.A. thesis work, “The Undrowning: A Memoir,” is a culmination of two years of self-reflection through intensive writing. She plans “to continue working on it with an eye toward publication,” she says.
