Timothy Rasinski, Ph.D., professor and Rebecca Tolle and Burton W. Gorman Chair in Educational Leadership at Kent State University, will present “The Art and Science of Reading” at the Friends of the College Library fall program. The event will be held on October 19, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. both in-person and via zoom.
Rasinski has written over 200 articles and authored, co-authored, or edited 50 books or curriculum programs on reading education. He served a three-year term on the Board of Directors of the International Reading Association, served as the co-editor of the Journal of Literacy Research, and was the co-editor of The Reading Teacher, the world’s most widely read journal of literacy education.
Additionally, Rasinski won the A. B. Herr and Laureate Awards from the College Reading Association and was elected into the International Reading Hall of Fame in 2010.
