A new film featuring young voters will be shown Oct. 24, 2012 at 8 p.m. in the Alumni Heritage Room of Teachout-Price Hall.
The film, “Up to Us,” is currently on a nationwide college campus tour leading up to the 2012 presidential election.
Presented by Comcast Cable, in association with OUR TIME & Generation18, the film voices the concerns and issues of young Americans who are struggling in the recession. It features two young Americans, one who is currently serving as an AmeriCorps member and another who has been unemployed for 18 months but is seeking work in the public service sector.
The film’s director, David Burstein, will speak at the showing to discuss the film and the critical role young people will play in the November balloting.
