The Hiram College men’s and women’s cross country teams received team all-academic honors by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for their efforts in the classroom.
On the men’s side, Hiram was one of 141 NCAA Division III schools across the country to be recognized and one of eight schools from the North Coast Athletic Conference. As a team, the Terrier men have a 3.44 grade point average through the fall 2012 semester which was third highest amongst NCAC schools and 22nd overall among all 141 institutions. Other NCAC schools making the list was Wooster, Denison, DePauw (Ind.), Kenyon, Oberlin, Wabash (Ind.) and Wittenberg.
The Hiram women were one of 197 Div. III schools to earn team all-academic honors with a 3.58 g.p.a. through the fall 2012 semester. The women had the top overall g.p.a. amongst seven other NCAC schools and ranked in a tie for 17th overall. Hiram joined Allegheny (Pa.), Wooster, DePauw (Ind.), Denison, Kenyon, Oberlin and Ohio Wesleyan from the conference to earn team all-academic accolades.
