The Center for Integrated Entrepreneurship will present the lecture “Competing in the Global Marketplace,” with Norm Cohen, author of Don’t Cry Foul – Just Strike Them Out – Competing Globally and Winning. Cohen will speak at noon on March 12, 2013, in the Kennedy Center Ballroom.
With more than 30 years of experience in the global marketplace, Cohen has exported specialty chemical products to 37 countries and traveled to more than 58 countries during his career. Understanding the customs, traditions, ethics and methods, as well as import restrictions and regulations, is essential for building a successful business in the international arena.
The subject of Don’t Cry Foul – Just Strike them Out encourages readers to stop complaining and find solutions to the various trade obstacles they will undoubtedly encounter, and to learn how to win the business.
Cohen will share with the Hiram community his experiences working in foreign countries and how he overcame many obstacles to attain the business and establish strong relationships.
