Looking towards the future of education and instruction, collegiate libraries are being challenged to transform into entities that embrace innovation, collaboration, experiential learning, and more. Recent renovations to the first floor of the Hiram College Library created a 21st-century learning space for students, faculty, staff, and the regional community alike. And to finish off the renovations, dining service provider AVI just completed the installation of the Clocktower Café, an innovative high-tech self-service convenience store

Now open to the campus community, the Clocktower Café provides an extensive variety of items including premium cold and barista-style beverages, fresh sandwiches, wraps, fruits, vegetables, and salads for a convenient grab-and-go dining option. Additionally, the Café will feature an assortment of snacks, ice cream, and pastries.

Self-service kiosks make payment quick and easy for all guests. To pay for items, guests may use a credit or debit card, Google Pay or Apple Pay, or by adding funds to the 365Pay App.

Here’s how to set up the 365Pay App:

  1. Download the 365Pay app from the App Store or Google Play
  2. Open the app and create an account. Confirm that you have read the privacy policy and enter your email address. An email will be sent to the address entered.
  3. Open the email and click on the link. Follow the prompts to add your personal information and add a credit card to your account.

Operational hours for the Clocktower Café will follow the Library’s normal business hours during the academic year

Monday – Thursday: 7:45 a.m. – 11 p.m.
Friday: 7:45 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Sunday: 1 – 11 p.m.

*Special hours may apply during holidays and breaks. See the full schedule for library hours.

The College is also working to make Terrier Cash, the pre-paid account that can be used in the Hiram College Bookstore, Dining Hall, and Bistro, available for use at the Clocktower Café. Details will be announced when the process is finalized.

A representative from AVI will be on site to answer questions and walk students, faculty, and staff through the app setup and kiosk use on Tuesday, January 19 from 8 a.m. – noon.

Since Hiram College is closed to the public because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Clocktower Café is only open to students, faculty, and staff at this time. Updates will be provided when the Café becomes available for the community to use.
