Bolanz has been named All-Region for the first time in her career. This spring, she led the team in nearly all major statistical categories, including breaking her own single-season homerun record with nine and also became the program’s all-time leader in homeruns with 22. She also led the team in batting average (.429), hits (45), triples (two), doubles (14), runs (26) and runs batted in (37). In addition, Bolanz was second on the team in walks with 16. Defensively, Bolanz had a .990 fielding percentage with 172 putouts, 18 assists and committed just two errors as the team’s primary catcher.
“Being named All-Region was such an honor and I am very grateful to of been chosen amongst all the other players in our region,” said Bolanz.
Earlier this year, Bolanz was named second-team All-North Coast Athletic Conference for the first time in her career.
“Jess had a phenomenal year for us and this recognition is well-deserved for all of her hard work this season,” said Head Coach Kristin Tassey. “As a junior, she really stepped up for our team, physically and emotionally and her statistics showed that. I am extremely proud of all that she accomplished this year and how much she helped our team.”
