The Hiram College baseball team fell at Pitt-Greensburg on Saturday evening by a 9-1 score.

The Terriers see their record drop to 3-9 on the season, while the Bobcats improve to 6-5.

The game was scheduled at the last minute, as Hiram was set to play a doubleheader at Penn State-Fayette. The field at PSU-Fayette was deemed unplayable and the Terriers were able to play against the Bobcats.

The Terriers jumped out to a 1-0 lead, benefitting on an error that scored senior Ron DeAmicis(Austintown/Fitch).

Pitt-Greensburg tied the game in the fourth and scored fours runs in the sixth and three more in the seventh inning to blow the game open.

Senior Nate Weiss (Warren, Mich./University Leggitt) gave up five earned runs in 5.1 innings. He also struck out three batters.

Four different players recorded a hit in the game for Hiram.

The Terriers will play a doubleheader as Penn State-Fayette on Sunday, with the first game set to begin at 1 p.m.

Hiram will also take on John Carroll on Wednesday, in a makeup from a rainout earlier in the week.
